Fur re-invented

Canadian Fur Design Competition 2011

second Prize: monica saraguro

Ryerson University, Toronto

This jacket brings a new perspective on the combination of fur and leather by adding delicate fringes to these luxurious raw materials. The tight fit of the jacket is embellished by the detail of grey and red fox feathered that has been previously layered to black fringes marking a contrast with the fur's color. The bolero-looking fur and fringes is sewed to the black leather of the jacket and a zipper in the front makes it easy to wear. The snaps at the back bottom enhance the fitted silhouette.

Special Thanks to Canadian fur manufacturer Four Seasons for technical assistance

The avant-gardiste look of the jacket suits perfectly a woman with strong leadership skills that pursue a successful career in fashion, marketing or advertisement since the garment creates a statement of luxury, creativity and strength.
